◎ Background/History: here
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? not at all

◎ Personality: Kumou Kagemitsu is the family head of the Kumou family of the Cloud shrine and he's older than he looks. He’s also not as mature as he’d like to pretend he is.

Kagemitsu was born to a family meant to protect a certain spirit, the shikigami Botan, so that she wouldn’t be sealed or destroyed. So, this is his duty, and he takes it very seriously. He will protect Botan at all cost. But it’s not really just because of his duty, but also because Botan is very important to him. She’s like family, and he loves her like a sister. She, Sasaki, and Poko the tanuki are the only family that he has, and since he cares so much about them all, it’s noly natural that he’s going to do what he can to keep them safe. When Hirari suddenly shows up and declares himself Botan’s husband, Kagemitsu is less than pleased, and thinks that the weird man will defile Botan, and make her dirty. So he doesn’t hesitate to pull her away from him, and shout at him for being all touchy-feely toward her. As for Sasaki, he doesn’t only care about him, but also respects him from a younger brother perspective. They’re not actually related, but he still has that great respect fro the older man.

Which is why he’s extremely upset when he finds out that Sasaki is the Orochi vessel. He wanted it to be a lie, or for it to just be a dream. He hated the thought of losing someone he cares so much about to somethign as dangerous as the Orochi. He hates the thought of losing those important to him overall, really, and wants nothing more than to protect them. But he knows he’s weak, even if he’s a skilled swordsman. He’s meant to be Botan’s shield, and to protect her. At the same time, he wants to protect the person devoured by the one whom they are supposed to kill. It’s with great reluctance and pain that he ights the taken-over Sasaki, and once they defeat him, and the man is dead, Kagemitsu can’t help himself from crying. And then Botan disappears, too, as her duty is over, and Kagemitsu is left alone with only the animal member of their family left. There’s Hirari, sure, but they’re not that close.

He can be suspicious toward people that he doesn’t know. He isn’t beyond suspecting them to be the Orochi Vessel if the’re involved in it, and he’s blindly trusting toward those that he holds dear. Because he is, he didn’t notice the obvious give-aways that Sasaki was the Orochi, even though he really should have seen it. Instead, he thought Hirari to be the Vessel, even if he didn’t say so to the man himself. He was actually surprised when Hirari bluntly asked if Kagemitsu thought he was the Vessel. Kagemitsu also doens’t expect people he trust to lie to him, and wouldn’t question the words of those important to him, which was why he apprehended Hirari as the Vessel when Sasaki said that Hirari was the Vessel. Kagemitsu isn’t a person who lies, so it’s part of the reason why he doesn’t expect others to be doing it. He might hide the truth and not tell everything, but he will not lie.

He’s a pretty childish person, who enjoys, despite his age of 20, piggyback rides. Most of all from Sasaki. He also likes physical contact, in the platonic/family sense. He likes hugs and to hold people’s hands, and he likes to cuddle. He also enjoys playing with Poko, and they’re almost always together. (And then he likes to play go and drink) He’s also childish when it comes to Botan, as previously mentioned. Since he is so protective of her, he will without hesitation or second thought pull her away from people trying to cuddle her, he will accuse them of trying to defile her, and he will even get into childish tug-a-wars and silly fist-fights. He easily feels left out, and jumps in to his group of friends if he feels lonely. Hirari calls him a brat despite being the same age as Kagemitsu, and in a way, he is a brat. But he’s not a bad brat. He’s really a very good brat, who won’t let people get harmed. He’s kind and likes to help people, even if he might not say so. At least not without blushing.

Still, people can grow fast on him, and Hirari already is, even if Kagemitsu won’t allow any engagement between Hirari (who is sort of becomign a little bit like an older brother to him) and his precious sister Botan. He hasn’t really admitted to anyone or to himself that he’s gorwn fond of Hirari, though. People can, thus, become very dear to him in a short matter of time, and even can be considered family. And he’s very proud of his family, even if he doesn’t have any blood relatives currently alive in his time. In an omake with time-shenanigans, he is shown to be very proud of his descendants from 600 years in the future, for example.

He’s a stubborn person who dieslikes giving up, even when he should. He’s often scolded by Botan for picking fights with Hirari about Botan, and she’s even hit them when they’ve been too persistent in their fighting.

◎ Powers/Abilities: He's skilled with a sword, he's agile, and he's fast. He's also got strong legs. But that's it.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory: the Kumou family swords happsne to be his only current possessions.

If possible, I'd like him to have his takuni, Poko, with him. Poko is a raccoon-dog spirit with the single ability of being able to turn bigger in size. Otherwise, he's like any other animal when it comes to speed, agility and the such. Even if Poko is a clever one, and attached to the Kumou family members. It always hands around Kagemitsu (or any of his descendants) and likes to think of himself as an overseer of the Kumou history. But basically, that's all there is to Poko, who is family to Kagemitsu. If so wished, Poko can be unable to change size, though, I wouldn't mind that at all.

CEREALIA-Specific

◎ Element: Earth
◎ Sense: Touch. Kagemitsu is secretly a person who likes physical contact with the people he likes. Not in a sense of romantic touches or anything, just hugs, or piggy-back rides, or family-hand-holding, things like that. So his sense of touch would be the most important to him.
◎ Seven Character Traits: Stubborn, easily attached, in denial, kind, protective, loving, trusting.

◎ First-Person Sample: test drive link.

◎ Third-Person Sample: err, I have characters in the game already, so that means I don't have to write a sample for this part, yes? I can if you want me to, though.

◎ Is your character retaining any previous game memories? no

Kumou Kagemitsu is the family head of the Kumou family of the Cloud shrine and he's older than he looks. The task given to the Kumou family is to guard the shikigami spirit, Botan, summoned by the Abe family. This spirit needs protection as she is incredibly hard to summon, and they can't afford the summoning to end before her task is done. And that task is to seal the Orochi - the cursed serpent - every 300 years. This happens in Oumi and is centered by Lake Biwa.

So, Kagemitsu has been living with Botan, and a man called Sasaki, at the Cloud Shrine, which belongs to the Kumou family, for many years, and together with them and the tanuki Poko, growing close and becoming a family. Sasaki was chief protector of Oumi and Kagemitsu a highly respected citizen, and Botan was there because the Orochi had revived and they were searching for the vessel it was lodging in.

And then, in comes Hirari. Hirari is a member of the Abe onmyouji family, who were the ones who summoned Botan. The guy was incredibly suspicious and Kagemitsu thought he was the vessel, so it irritated him a lot when the guy insisted upon being Botan's husband. But that it would have done either way.

Anyway, that evening, followers of the Orochi, members of the Ashiya onmyouji clan, invaded the Cloud Shrine. But they left pretty quickly, for some reason. Though before they did, Botan tied Hirari to a tree because Hirari was a pain in the ass. Along that line, Hirari decided to move into the Cloud Shrine, and it resulted in everyone becoming a little closer to him, even if they still thought him to be the Orochi Vessel.

As it turns out, though, Hirari was not the Vessel, beucase it was actually Sasaki, who tried to pin it on Hirari. When he was outed as the Vessel, Sasaki turned and transformed into the great, enormous shape of the cursed serpent, and had to be defeated before fully revived. Kagemitsu was sent by Botan to help Hirari, who turned out to have been raised to be bait for the Orochi, and Hirari lost an arm to pprotect Botan, a little bit later. When the Orochi cried and the Vessel died, halting the resurrection, Botan disappeared, and Hirari and Kagemitsu charged to fend off the followers of the Orochi, such as Ashiya.
